JENNIFER HENDRICKS,  College and University Specialist

Dear Families,

I love helping students find the right college or university for them.  Before becoming an IEC,  I taught English and worked as a class advisor at both public and private schools in Connecticut for over 20 years.  I earned my B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and my M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona before becoming a teacher.  I am a lifelong learner.

I also have a great deal of personal experience with life in different educational settings.   In my formative years, I attended both public school and boarding school.   As an adult,  I recently worked in London advising International Baccalaureate students on applying to universities in both the United Kingdom and the United States.  As a mother of three teens who have attended both public and private schools with different curriculums, I understand the joys and challenges of navigating the world of school choice.

When I am not researching and visiting colleges and universities, I am spending time with my family, cooking, walking my dog, reading, watching soccer, and traveling.
